Recently, several popular models under the BYD brand have successively launched their 2026 versions, including the Seal 06 DM, which features a more youthful and sporty design. In comparison, the 2026 BYD Seal 06 DM also offers a long electric-only range of 210 km, while even the entry-level version delivers a range of 128 km. This represents a clear improvement over the previous model. With that said, let’s take a closer look at what changes the 2026 BYD Seal 06 DM has received.

First, let’s look at the price. The 2026 BYD Seal 06 DM is priced between $14,000 and $20,000, and the entire lineup is cheaper compared to the previous model. At the same time, the new model comes in four versions, with two versions offering a 128 km electric range and two versions offering a 210 km range.

From the powertrain perspective, although the 2026 Seal 06 DM still uses the fifth-generation DM technology, the entry-level model has been upgraded to a 15.87 kWh battery pack, which provides the aforementioned 128 km pure electric range. In addition, the entry-level version of the 2026 Seal 06 DM is also equipped with a DC fast charging port. Although the maximum fast-charging power is only 23 kW, a charging time of about 40 minutes still offers a good user experience.

In contrast, the higher-end version of the 2026 BYD Seal 06 DM features a battery capacity of 25.28 kWh, and its pure electric range reaches 210 km. For a plug-in hybrid priced just above $100,000, this level of range is truly impressive.

Additionally, thanks to the vehicle’s fast charging power increasing to 48 kW, it takes only about 20 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%. It is also worth mentioning that the long-range version of the 2026 Seal 06 DM has been upgraded with a 175 kW motor, ensuring that the car’s 0–100 km/h acceleration remains around 7.5 seconds.

In terms of appearance, the 2026 BYD Seal 06 DM continues the design language of the 2025 model, and the front end still presents a smile-like expression. That said, the headlight design of the Seal 06 DM is truly stunning. The lines of the entire light cluster are very smooth, making it look like a sharp blade. Combined with the raised creases on the hood, it creates a youthful and sporty atmosphere.

Moving to the side, the 2026 Seal 06 DM also uses semi-hidden door handles. Compared with its sibling model, the Qin L DM, the Seal 06 DM’s design definitely feels more trendy. In addition, its length of 4,830 mm and wheelbase of 2,790 mm offer certain advantages compared with similarly priced models, and the resulting rear-seat space is quite impressive.

The rear of the vehicle also shows no significant changes. The sporty diffuser-style lower bumper and the layered rear outline continue to emphasize the car’s fashionable and sporty vibe. Meanwhile, the new model’s taillight group adopts a smoked-through design. When illuminated, the internal light sources create a strong sense of fashion and technology.

Once you sit inside, you’ll notice that the interior of the 2026 Seal 06 DM is more minimalist. The new model removes the electronic gear lever and upgrades to a more aesthetically pleasing and practical electronic shift-by-wire knob. The physical buttons on the center console have also been adjusted.

Another noticeable change is that the new Seal 06 DM does not use piano black trim. Instead, the sides of the dashboard are made of environmentally friendly, fabric-like materials, which enhances the overall interior quality. Another feature worth noting is that the new model upgrades the wireless phone charging power to a mainstream 50W and adds a heads-up display (HUD) and an in-car smart refrigerator system. Of course, these features are only available on the top trim of the new Seal 06 DM.
